If you are joining to learn... Stop at a craft store and pick up the tools you wish to learn.

X stitch, maybe a child's project.

Crochet, a medium weight with an accompanying hook. I recommend a lighter color.. Your eyes will thank you while you are learning.

Knitting.. I am going to wait to hear from the knitters on what they recommend to start with...

I will also look on amazon for some simple x stitch patters we can try. I also have a treasure trove of yarn in my house so I will bring some in case you dont have time to get out.
